the ProSentia 800 Elonex announces the launch of the latest in their ProSentia series of desktop computers at the Healthcare Computing 2005 exhibition. The ProSentia 800 desktop computer range represents the next stage in PC development, conforming to the new BTX motherboard and chassis standard from Intel.

As one of the first BTX-based PCs to hit the market, the ProSentia 800 offers Elonex customers enhanced levels of performance with much lower noise levels in a very convenient small package.

thermal design for low niose
with the latest Intel Technology

The ProSentia 800 utilises the smallest of the BTX designs - pico-BTX - to achieve very small dimensions, just 7 litres internal volume, yet still packs in the latest Intel Pentium 4 Processor, 915G chipset, 3 drives and an expansion slot! Whisper-quiet cooling is a prominent feature of the BTX standard - and noise levels are noticeably low in this new model, allowing it to be used in quiet environments at work or at home.

Packed with integrated features
A high level of integration is expected with a PC of this small size - and the ProSentia 800 won't disappoint - it comes with high quality networking, 3D graphics and 8-channel audio built-in. Front and rear USB and audio ports offer enhanced usability, and users won't lack for standard connections to printers, scanners, cameras and more.

Adaptable to any situation
The ProSentia 800 is small and highly adaptable - it is designed to be used either flat or upright and so will be at home on any desk. But the small size also lends itself to shelf, desk-side or wall mounting, to provide PC functionality in most situations. Elonex envisage the ProSentia 800 as the ideal PC for Health, Retail POS, Education and Financial environments.

Easy maintenance
The new design has a reduced-tool chassis, giving quick and easy access for upgrades and maintenance. The reduced support requirement will mean lower Total Cost of Ownership for ProSentia 800 customers.

Healthcare Computing 2005 exhibition
The theme of the Elonex stand D18 at HC2005 will be “Standard PC equipment in a Healthcare context for lower cost, faster integration & easier maintenance”. A selected range of Elonex PCs and notebooks using wall-mount, shelf-mount and mobile storage innovations will demonstrate how standard IT equipment can be part of a safe healthcare environment.
