I'd like to say we have used Elonex for 7 years, during which time we've had excellent service and value for money,
fact re-enforced by a recent Gcat mini-tender.

KEITH FOSTER,
HEAD OF ICT, NORTHAMPTON HOSPITAL
The Challenge
Northampton General Hospital wanted to install a picture archiving and communications system (PACS) based on Laser
Lines 'everything on line' (EOL) systems. The system needed to allow all images, stored in a remote RAID archive, to be
viewed at any location throughout the Trust network in seconds, whenever the clinician wanted. The first phase would cover
the A&E and Fracture Clinic where the Trust saw the opportunity of using digital imaging to reduce patient waiting time and
at the same time reduce costs.
The Solution
The decision to select Elonex as it's standard PC supplier was an easy one for the hospital. Elonex offered a single point of
contact for all hardware and support and an established direct business model. Using Elonex PCs and standard internet
browser technology the Trust were able to roll out the system very quickly across the hospital and, subject to appropriate
security and confidentiality controls, to GPs, clinics, and even doctors' homes.
The Result
Elonex has been the Trust's preferred supplier every year since 1996 and it has been very satisfied with the service provided
and product quality. This year the hospital once again selected Elonex, choosing to standardise on ProSentia 3000 machines
with software installation included. Elonex help the Trust to provide solutions, streamline procurement, reduce the cost of
ownership, lower service and support expenses and improve accountability. Elonex has built its reputation on service and support,
quality standards-based components and excellent price/performance.
